Michelle Branigan
Michelle Branigan is the Chief Executive Officer of Electricity Human Resources Canada, a non-profit organization supporting the human resources needs of the Canadian electricity and renewable energy sector.

Michelle has over 20 years of experience in project management, human resources development, recruitment, and curriculum development and evaluation, both in Canada and Ireland.

She holds a Master’s degree in Training & Performance Management from the University of Leicester (United Kingdom) and is a certified Project Management Professional.

Michelle is currently an active Board Member with the Energy Council of Canada, Irish Film Festival Ottawa, and a recipient of the 2015 Woman of the Year award from Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE), which recognizes and celebrates professional women working in the energy sector who go above and beyond business as usual.

Cassidy deVeer
Cassidy is the President and co-owner of 3rd Generation Homes in Kelowna, BC. The company was started in 2010 by Cassidy and her husband Gerald deVeer as a new venture. The name wasn’t just a matter of marketing, building has been in the family for three generations; on both sides, their parents and grandparents were actively involved in home building.

As the President of 3rd Generation Homes, Cassidy wears many different hats, handling marketing, design, sales, customer care, project management, human resources, financials and much more. She is fully involved in the construction of each home from pre-design all the way to completion, with the goal to build her client’s dream home. This year 3rd Generation Homes will start their 60th build.

In a mainly male dominated industry, Cassidy has become well-respected for her achievements, her knowledge, and the success of the company projects. Cassidy became the first ever female president of her local Home Builder’s Association (CHBACO), inspiring other women to step up and was able to finish her presidency with a balance board of female and male builders. In 2021, 3rd Generation Homes won silver in the Best of Kelowna community competition and was nominated as a finalist for Builder of the Year for CHBACO where she is currently past president. In March Cassidy will become the President of  CHBA BC and will represent BC on the National Board. Within the association she is a member of many committees including Government Relations and has made several trips to Victoria to work with ministers on how we can build more housing faster, and the implications of governments policies on the housing industry.

Cassidy is also an active volunteer within the community and has help build the OKM Senior Girls’ Basketball team into one of the top programs in the province. This has given her the opportunity to follow one of her passions and to provide guidance for a team of young women. She volunteers to coach at multiple age groups for boys and girls and still plays herself.

Other achievements include Kelowna Chamber of Commerce Top 40 under 40 in 2017 and Small and Mighty Young Professional of the Year in 2021.

Carol Moen, P.Eng
Carol Moen is a Professional Engineer with more than 25 years of experience in the petrochemical industry. She is a proven leader and brings vast experience in leadership, governance and strategy. She is currently the President & CEO of Women Building Futures, an established non-profit based in Alberta supporting women’s economic security. Prior to her current role, Carol served as the Registrar at the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).

Sarah Bond, P.Eng.
Sarah is currently the mine manager of Imperial Limestone on Texada Island, B.C., a division of Arcosa Specialty Materials. As one of the few female mine managers in Canada, she works with several advocate groups to bring more visibility and representation to women in the mining and construction industries.
