Women of Powerline Technicians ceasing operation

March 29, 2023 – On May 31, 2023, Women of Powerline Technicians will cease operation, announced its founder and executive director, Lana Norton, on LinkedIn.

“Women of Powerline Technicians has been a wonderful success during the past six years and it is a time for a transformation,” Norton writes.

She notes that “women in the electricity sector and women in trades have come so far during the last six years”.

“Increasingly, electrical distribution companies have women in trade, technical and leadership capacities. With your support, we have made this progress.”

To the members of the Women of PLT community, Norton asks that they continue to “lead and support other women in trades”.

“Together, we’ll continue to transform the electricity sector beyond Women of PLT.”
