EHRC publishes the latest tools and resources for your DEI journey

April 26, 2023 – Electricity Human Resources Canada has published its latest Enabling Change tools and resources for 2023—all of which are free, and aim to help anyone along their diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI) journeys.
EHRC has also updated its resources specifically addressing persons with disabilities, and provided an anonymous survey to help employers determine how their DEI and disability accommodation efforts are being perceived.
Included among Enabling Change’s latest tools and resources:
ILLUMINATE OPPORTUNITY (PDF download) is an updated resource on DEI best practices. It includes a guide for employers on attracting, recruiting, and retaining a diverse workforce, and provides step-by-step guidance.
FROM DISABILITY TO INCLUSION (PDF download) is an employer resource that is specific to persons with disabilities. It contains sections on current legislation and a glossary, as well as resources on accessibility and accommodation best practices.
SAFE 3RD-PARTY DISCLOSURE SURVEY is an anonymous survey for employers, designed to enable their employees to share experiences about working with apparent and non-apparent disabilities, and how they are accommodated in the workplace.
